Where exactly is the engine control unit fitted in the Daf Xf 106?

The Delphi Paccar engine control unit that we repair is mounted in the same place as it is in most trucks. In the case of the Daf Xf 106 tractor, it is bolted directly to the vehicle engine - on its left side (driver's side).

The engine computer on the Daf Xf 106 is located just behind the alternator and under the high-pressure common rail. Therefore, to remove it and bring it to us for repair, you need to lift the cab. Next, disconnect the three multi-pin cable plugs from the Delphi ETC-3 controller and unscrew the four mounting screws. Make sure that the rubber bushings supporting the control unit do not fall out. Their function is to dampen vibrations generated by the engine of our Daf Xf 106.
